Step 1 - Grow your plants from seedling or clone for 3 weeks or until the plant develops its third set of fan leaves. It is extremely important to begin flowering after a maximum of 3 weeks or they will become too large for your pc grow box and will possibly touch the lights! Your plants will double or triple in size only after 4 weeks of flowering.
Step 2 - Once you begin to flower your plants start bending them through the shelf as they grow. You do not need to bend the plants all the way horizontally, just slight bends through the shelf will make the plant develop a bend in its main stem permanently as it grows. Side branching and shoots can also be wound through the shelf to ensure they do not grow up into the lights.
Step 3 - Continue to bend the new growth through the shelf wire as it grows. You will notice the plant will point up only a few hours after you bend it horizontally. This will result in a permanent bend and will take inches off of the plants vertical growth while maintaining branching and developmental growth.
Step 4- Continue to repeat step 3 until your plant has halted growth and begins full flowering production mode. At this point you can sit back and watch your plant develop beautiful flowers without worry of the plant touching the light. It is important to maintain bud sites, and ensure they get light priority over the fan leaves. If the leaves of your plant are blocking the bud sites, gently bend them down in order to allow maximum light exposure to the bud sites. You can cut the leaves off but it is not recommended unless absolutely necessary.
Tips - Always water your plants before attempting to bend them through the shelf. Plants become more flexible when they are hydrated and tend not to snap or break as easy when they are dehydrated.
